About us

Remote field surveyingSigma Seven was formed in 2000 by a group of mapping, data management and GIS professionals from leading IT Service and Utilities companies. The team had been working together on a strategic GIS project and realised there would be growing demand for flexible, affordable and mobile map-based solutions for any organisation with field workers.

Since 2000 Sigma Seven has helped some of the largest utility companies in the UK and developed a range of products – GeoField and Field Quotes - for the utilities industry. GeoField has developed into a suite of products in use today by organisations such as ScottishPower, Bristol Water and Scottish Water. Experienced in partnering on large projects, we have worked alongside leading companies such as LogicaCMG, Fujitsu, BT Global Services, IBM, ESRI and Capgemini.

Fuelled by the success of our popular and innovative products, Sigma Seven is profitable, expanding and has enjoyed year on year growth since formation. We now employ ten staff and are looking for more. After success in the Utilities sector we are now extending our reach to environment, infrastructure, local and central government whose mobile workforce and mapping needs are perfectly met by the GeoField range of products.

Sigma Seven is based in the Scottish capital city of Edinburgh, UK.
